Catalyst Shield: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the catalytic converter.
3. Remove the heat shield nuts (1) from the heat shield (2).
4. Remove the heat shield.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the heat shield.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the heat shield nuts (1) to the heat shield (2).
^ Tighten the heat shield nuts (1) to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs.).
3. Install the catalytic converter.
4. Lower the vehicle.
