Fluid - Differential: Service and Repair
Removal ProcedureFront Differential Fluid Service
1. Remove the front differential carrier shield, if equipped.
2. Remove the fill plug (1) and the washer (2).
3. Remove the drain plug (3).
4. Drain the fluid from the differential.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Install the drain plug (3).
^ Tighten the drain plug (3) to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
2. Fill the differential.
3. Install the washer (2) and the fill plug (1).
^ Tighten the fill plug (1) to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the front differential carrier shield.
