Spark Plug Replacement

IMPORTANT:
^ Do not remove the spark plugs when the engine is warm.
^ Clean dirt and debris from the spark plug recess area.
^ Use care when removing the spark plug boots from the spark plugs.
^ Twist the boot 1/2 turn before removing the boot and the PULL ON THE BOOT ONLY to remove it. DO NOT PULL ON THE WIRE as this may damage the spark plug wire.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the four bolts (1) that retain the injector sight shield.
2. Remove the injector sight shield.
3. Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug.
4. Remove the spark plug from the cylinder head.


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Measure and adjust the gap of the spark plugs.

Gap: 0.050 inch (150 mm)

2. Install the spark plug into the cylinder head.

Torque: 15 N.m (11 ft. lb.)

3. Install spark plug boot onto the spark plug.
4. Install the injector sight shield.
5. Install the four bolts (1) that retain the injector sight shield.
