Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the water deflector.

CAUTION: Refer to Door Window Express Down in Service Precautions.

3. Loosen the regulator window clamp bolts.
4. Manually move the glass to the up position and hold in place with tape.
5. Remove the 5 retainer bolts (1, 2).
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the window regulator motor.




7. Remove the window regulator (1) from the door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the window regulator (1) into the door.
2. Locate the two captive bolts (2) into the keyhole slots in the door panel.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




3. Install the 3 remaining window regulator bolts in order to secure the regulator.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

4. Install the window to the windows clamps.

Tighten
Tighten window clamp retaining bolts to 11 N.m (98 lb in).

5. Connect the electrical connector to the window regulator motor.
6. Install the water deflector.
7. Install the door trim panel.
