Transmitter Programming

A scan tool can be used to program the transmitters. The following procedure describes the menu sequence and parameter selection recommended for the scan tool. This procedure is intended to allow the programming of FOB #1, FOB #2, FOB #3, FOB #4 or all key FOBs.

NOTE: During the programming procedure press the trunk button first, then after holding the trunk button for approximately one second press the lock button. Hold both buttons in until the locks cycle. Repeat the procedure again if the first attempt is unsuccessful.

1. Install a scan tool.
2. Display the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) main menu.
3. Select the Special Functions menu.
4. Select programming.
5. Follow the directions on the screen display.
