The dual zone A/C (CJ2) system provides a comfortable environment inside the passenger compartment regardless of the weather conditions outside of the vehicle. This system can automatically adjust and control temperature output, fan speed, air delivery mode, air conditioning operation and air intake. You can use the AUTO (automatic) setting or override the automatic operation with the manual control settings. The control settings will be remembered each time the vehicle is restarted without moving any of the HVAC control buttons/knobs. A Memory option is available which can store specific settings and then recall them at any time.

The dual zone A/C system is a vacuum and electrically controlled heating, ventilating and air conditioning system. Both electronic and vacuum circuits determine air intake and discharge locations. The electronic circuits control the following aspects of the system:

^ The A/C compressor clutch operation
^ The fan operation
^ The discharge temperature
