Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the 4 splash shield bolts.
3. Remove the splash shield.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor/switch.

Important: Use a catch basin to catch escaping oil.

5. Remove the oil pressure sensor/switch.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the oil pressure sensor/switch.
Tighten the oil pressure sensor/switch to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
2. Connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure sensor/switch.
3. Install the splash shield.
4. Install the 4 splash shield bolts.
Tighten the splash shield screws until fully seated and not stripped.
Do not strip the splash shield bolts.
5. Lower the vehicle.
