Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor Replacement





REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable SIR system.
2. Remove front door trim panel.
3. Remove front door water deflector.
4. Disconnect inflatable restraint Side Impact Sensor (SIS) wiring harness connector.
5. Remove the two Torx(R) screws.
6. Remove the SIS from the mounting plate.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the SIS to the mounting plate.
2. Install the two Torx(R) screws.

Tighten
Tighten Inflatable restraint side impact screws to 5 N.m (45 lb in).

3. Connect the SIS wiring harness connector.
4. Install front door water deflector.
5. Install front door trim panel.
6. Enable SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
