Rear Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION:
^ Approved safety glasses and gloves should be worn when performing this procedure to reduce the chance of personal injury.
^ Refer to Door Window Express Down in Service Precautions.


1. Roll the window half way up and tape into place.
2. Remove the door trim panel.
3. Remove the water deflector.
4. Remove the inner belt sealing strip.
5. Remove the outer belt sealing strip.
6. Remove the door window weatherstrip.
7. Remove the door vent window and division channel.
8. Remove inside door handle.




9. Remove door window electrical connection.




10. Remove door window regulator and motor by:
10.1. Drill out rivets that hold the door window regulator and motor place.
10.2. Disconnect the guide from the door window regulator and motor from the sash.
11. Remove door window regulator and motor from the door opening.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install door window regulator and motor through opening in the door.
2. Set the guide in the center of the regulator assembly to assist in alignment of the sash on the glass.
3. Connect the guide to the door window.
4. Install four new rivets to retain the regulator and motor to the door.




5. Connect door window regulator and motor electrical connector.
6. Install inside door handle.
7. Install the door vent window division channel.
8. Install the door window weatherstrip.
9. Install the outer belt sealing strip.
10. Install the inner belt sealing strip.
11. Install the water deflector.
12. Install the door trim panel.
13. Remove the tape from the window.
