Rear Integration Module Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Before replacing the RIM module, record the personalization settings in order to restore the settings after the new module is installed.




1. Record the RIM personalization settings.
2. Remove the rear storage compartment trim.
3. Remove the bay board fasteners (2).
4. Pull the bay board (1) away from the body and place the bay board (1) module side up in the rear compartment.




5. Disconnect the RIM (1) electrical connectors.
6. Depress inward on the locking tabs (2).
7. With the looking tabs (2) depressed, slide the RIM (1) out of the bay board
8. Remove the RIM module (1) from the bay board.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the RIM module (1) to the bay board.
2. Push the RIM (1) into the bay board until an audible click is heard indicating the locking tabs are fully engaged.
3. Connect the RIM (1) electrical connectors.




4. Install the bay board (1) to the vehicle body.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the bay board fasteners (2).

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners (2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

6. Install the rear compartment trim.
7. Program the body control module and restore the personalization settings. Programming and Relearning
