ECON Setting

The system will not allow the A/C compressor to operate during the ECON setting. The system cannot cool the vehicle to a temperature any colder than the ambient air temperature. This setting automatically determines the blower speed and the air outlet positions based upon different inputs. All of the incoming air into the Heating, Ventilation, And Air Conditioning (HVAC) module is from the outside. Depending on the heating or cooling requirement, most of the air will enter the passenger compartment from one of the following positions:
^ The floor heater outlet and the rear outlets
^ The A/C outlets and the rear outlets
^ The A/C outlets, the heater, and the rear outlets
