Grille: Service and Repair



Grille Replacement (TL4)

Removal Procedure





1. Open the hood (1).
2. Remove the secondary latch rod from the latch.
3. Remove the secondary latch lever (7) from the grille (6).
4. Remove the bolts (4) that retain the grille support brace (3) to the hood (1).
5. Remove the nuts (5) that retain the grille support brace (3) to the grille (6).
6. Remove the nuts (5) that retain the grille (6) to the hood (1).
7. Remove the grille (6).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the grille (6).





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the nuts in order to retain the grille to the hood.

Tighten the nuts in sequence as illustrated to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Install the nuts in sequence, in order to retain the grille support brace to the grille.

Tighten the nuts in sequence to 6 N.m (53 lb in).





4. Install the bolts (4) in order to retain the grille support brace (3) to the hood (1).

Tighten the bolts to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

5. Install the secondary latch lever (7) to the grille (6).
6. Install the secondary latch rod to the latch.
7. Ensure the retention clip is secured to the latch assembly.
8. Close the hood (1).
