Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement

Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 34940 Rivet Gun

The power window motor cannot be serviced. Replace the power window motor as a unit with the regulator.

1. Remove the trim panel.
2. Remove the water deflector.
3. Remove the window glass.
4. Remove the window sash.
5. Remove the glass weatherstrip.




6. Remove the regulator assembly (2) from the door by completing the following steps:

1. Drill the rivets securing the regulator to the door inner panel.
2. Remove the guide regulator assembly through the rear lower hole.




Installation Procedure





1. Install the regulator assembly (2) to the door by completing the following steps:

1. Install the guide regulator assembly through the rear lower hole.
2. Using the J 34940 , install the rivets securing the regulator to the door inner panel.

2. Install the glass weatherstrip.
3. Install the window sash.
4. Install the window glass.
5. Install the water deflector.
6. Install the trim panel.
