Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the oil level sensor (1).
3. Remove the oil level sensor (1) from the oil pan.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE:. Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the oil level sensor (1) in the oil pan.

Tighten
Tighten the oil level sensor (1) to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

2. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the oil level sensor (1).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Top off the crankcase oil, and check for leaks.
