Torque Converter Cover: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Support the vehicle on safety stands.
3. Remove the attaching bolts(5) and the engine-to-transmission brace.
4. Remove the torque converter cover.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the torque converter cover.
- Tighten the cover bolt to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
2. Install the engine-to-transmission brace and attaching bolts (5).
- Tighten the bolts to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove the safety stands.
4. Lower the vehicle.
