Air Injection Control Valve: Service and Repair

SECONDARY AIR INJECTION (AIR) SHUT-OFF VALVE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the vacuum hose (4).
2. Remove the AIR shut-off valve (1) to bracket screws.
3. Remove the hose clamps.
4. Disconnect the air hoses (2).
5. Remove the assembly from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the assembly to the vehicle.
2. Connect the air hoses (2).
3. Install the hose clamps.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the AIR shut-off valve (1) to bracket screw.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

5. Reconnect the vacuum hose (4).
