Transmission Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the passenger side l/P sound insulator panel.
2. Remove the passenger side floor air outlet retainer (2).
3. Remove the passenger side floor air outlet. Disconnect from air distributor and rotate the outlet side rearward.





4. Remove the transmission control module nuts (2).
5. Remove the transmission control module (1).
^ Pull module away from the studs.
^ Slide the module downward away from the upper clip.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the transmission control module (1).
^ Slide the module upward into the upper clip.
^ Push the module onto the studs.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the transmission control module nuts (2).
^ Tighten the transmission control module nuts (2) until fully seated.
3. Install the passenger side floor air outlet. Rotate the outlet side forward into position and connect to the air distributor.





4. Install the passenger side floor air outlet retainer (2).
5. Install the passenger side l/P sound insulator panel.
