Antitheft Relay: Service and Repair

THEFT DETERRENT RELAY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect the washer solvent hose connector.
3. Disconnect the retention clip securing the cruise control cable to the left strut tower.
4. Remove the cover (1) from the engine compartment multi-use relay and fuse center assembly.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector to the starter enable relay.
6. Remove the starter enable relay (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the electrical connector to the starter enable relay.
2. Install the starter enable relay (2).
3. Install the cover (1) to the engine compartment multi-use relay and fuse center assembly.
4. Secure the cruise control cable to the retention clip on the left strut tower.
5. Connect the washer solvent hose connector.
6. Close the hood.
