Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair

ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the oil level sensor (1).
3. Remove the oil level sensor from the oil pan.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the oil level sensor (1) in the oil pan.

Tighten
Tighten the oil level sensor to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

2. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the oil level sensor (1).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Check the oil level.
5. Start the engine and inspect for oil leaks.
