Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Exhaust Service Caution in Service Precautions.

Caution: Refer to Protective Goggles and Gloves Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Remove the exhaust system.
2. Remove the 4 bolts securing the catalytic converter heat shield to the floor panel.
3. Remove the catalytic converter heat shield from the floor panel.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the catalytic converter heat shield to the floor panel.
2. Align the holes in the catalytic converter heat shield with the threaded holes in the floor panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the 4 bolts securing the catalytic converter heat shield to the floor panel.
^ Tighten the catalytic converter heat shield bolts to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
4. Install the exhaust system.
