Lumbar Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open the door.
2. Position the seat full forward and upward.
3. Remove the outer finish panel front and rearward fasteners (1).
4. Lift the outer finish panel upward in order to disengage the finish panel (3) from center retention clip (2).




5. Lower the outer finish panel.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) to the lumbar switch.
7. Squeeze the retainers in order to release the lumbar switch (2) from the outer finish panel.
8. Remove the lumbar switch.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the lumbar switch (2) into the outer finish panel.
2. Apply inward pressure in order to seat the switch.
3. Connector the electrical connector (1).
4. Position the outer finish panel to the front and rear of the seat.




5. Position the outer finish panel to the retention clip (2) located on the seat cushion frame.
6. Apply downward pressure in order to secure the outer finish panel (3) to the seat cushion frame retention clip (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

7. Install the fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

8. Reposition the seat.
9. Close the door.
