Condenser Replacement (With RPO Code CZ3)

CONDENSER REPLACEMENT (With RPO Code CZ3)

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Remove the radiator support brackets.




3. Remove the upper condenser mounting bolts.
4. Remove the auxiliary cooling fan.
5. Remove the condenser inlet hose bolt (1) at the condenser




6. Pull the line straight out to protect the O-ring.




7. Disconnect the condenser discharge hose (1) at the condenser.
8. Pull the line straight out to protect the O-ring.
9. Remove the condenser.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Add refrigerant oil.
2. Install the condenser.
3. Install the auxiliary cooling fan.
4. Lube O-ring with refrigerant oil before installing.




5. Connect the discharge hose to the condenser.
6. Install the discharge hose bolt (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).

7. Lube O-ring with refrigerant oil before installing.
8. Connect the condenser inlet hose to the condenser.




9. Connect the condenser inlet hose bolt (1) to the condenser.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).

10. Install the air deflector.




11. Install the upper condenser bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 3.9 N.m (35 lb in).

12. Install the radiator support brackets.
13. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system.
14. Leak test all fittings of the repaired or reinstalled components using the J 39400-A.
