Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.




2. Remove the 3 bolts securing the air cleaner assembly to the shock tower and upper tie bar.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the air cleaner assembly into the engine compartment.
2. Install the 3 bolts securing the air cleaner assembly to the shock tower and upper tie bar.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the air cleaner assembly bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.
