Dimmer Switch: Service and Repair

SWITCH REPLACEMENT - FOG LAMP AND INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) LAMP DIMMER (RHD)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
The fog lamp, IP dimmer switch assembly uses skin locks which grab the soft skin material of the IP. The skin lock feature may cause the switch to be difficult to remove.




1. Remove right IP end cap.
2. Push on rear side of fog lamp, IP dimmer switch assembly.




3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
4. Remove the fog lamp, IP dimmer switch assembly from the IP.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect electrical connector.
2. Align the fog lamp, IP dimmer switch assembly with opening in IP.
3. Push in on the push into position until flush with IP surface, until the switch assembly is flush with IP surface.
4. Install left IP end cap.
