Transmission Fluid Level Inspection





1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Clean any dirt from around the fluid fill plug (1).
3. Remove the transmission fluid fill plug and washer (1).





4. Check that the transmission fluid level is even with the bottom of the fill plug hole.
5. Add DEXRON�-III transmission fluid, if necessary.





6. Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the transmission fluid fill plug and washer (1)
Tighten the plug to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
7. Lower the vehicle.
