Transmission Fluid Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting

- J 44827 Transmission Cooler Quick Disconnect

Removal Procedure





1. Locate the Transmission Oil Cooler (TOC) quick connect fitting (1).





2. Important: Be sure that the lock tang on the release tool is properly engaged.

Install the J 44827 onto the TOC pipe.





3. Slide the J 44827 toward the TOC quick connect fitting.





4. Insert the J 44827 into the TOC quick connect fitting. The distance between the quick connect fitting and J 44827 should be approximately 2.00 mm (0.080 inch).





5. Pull back on the TOC pipe to disengage the pipe from the TOC quick connect fitting.
6. Remove the J 44827 from the TOC pipe.

Installation Procedure





1. Important: Inspect the TOC quick connect fitting for signs of wear or damage. Replace the components if necessary.

Install the TOC pipe into the TOC quick connect fitting.A distinct snap should be heard or felt when assembling the TOC pipe to the quick connect fitting.
2. To ensure the cooler line is properly installed, give the cooler pipe a gentle pull.
