Rear Door Window Motor: Service and Repair



REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the water deflector.
3. Partially open the window, if possible.

IMPORTANT: There is a binding effect on the power window motor drive when the window is in the fully closed or open position.

4. Remove the window regulator.




5. Remove the screws securing the power window motor to the window regulator.
6. Twist the power window motor clockwise to remove the motor from the regulator.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the power window motor to the window regulator.
2. Twist the power window motor counterclockwise to align the screw holes.
3. Install the power window motor to regulator screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the power window motor screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).




4. Install the window regulator.
5. Install the water deflector.
6. Install the door trim panel.
