Windshield Washer Pump: Service and Repair



WASHER PUMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the lower air deflector.




2. Drain the washer solvent into a suitable container.
3. Disconnect the washer hose (8) from the washer pump (7).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector (4) from the washer pump.
5. Remove the washer pump (7) from the washer solvent container.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Lubricate the washer pump intake nozzle with washer solvent to aid in the installation of the washer pump (7) into the washer container.
2. Secure the washer pump in the washer solvent container.
3. Ensure the washer pump is secure to the washer solvent container.
4. Connect the electrical connector (4) to the washer pump.
5. Connect the washer hose (8) to the washer pump.




6. Install the lower air deflector.
7. Open the hood.
8. Fill the washer solvent container with new washer solvent.
9. Verify operation of the pump.
10. Close the hood.
