Radiator Support Bracket Replacement (LP1, LY7)

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure




1. Using a J 38185, slide the hose clamp away from the base of the surge tank inlet hose.
2. Remove the surge tank inlet hose from the radiator assembly.




3. Remove the condenser seal.




4. Remove the radiator support bolts (1).
5. Remove the radiator support brackets (2).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the radiator support brackets (2).





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the radiator support bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).




3. Install the condenser seal.




4. Install the surge tank inlet hose to the radiator assembly.
5. Using a J 38185, slide the hose clamp into the original position on the hose.
