Vehicle Speed Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the transmission support.
2. Lower the rear of the transmission.
3. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) electrical connector.
4. Remove the VSS bolt (215).
5. Remove the VSS (213) from the rear extension housing.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the VSS (213) to the rear extension housing.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the VSS bolt (215).

Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

3. Connect the VSS electrical connector.
4. Raise the rear of the transmission.
5. Install the transmission support.
