Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Restraint System Service Precautions.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the steering column tilt head (1).
3. Check the steering column for accident damage. Refer to Steering Column Accident Damage Inspection.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the steering column tilt head (1).
2. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
