Engine Flywheel Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the automatic transmission, if equipped.
2. Remove the engine flywheel bolts and flywheel.




3. Remove the manual transmission, if equipped.
4. Remove the engine flywheel bolts and flywheel.
5. Clean and inspect the flywheel. If the flywheel teeth are damaged, inspect the starter for proper operation. Replace the starter if you find excessive wear or damage to the starter drive.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the engine flywheel and bolts.
2. Install the manual transmission, if equipped.




3. Install the engine flywheel and bolts.
4. Install the automatic transmission, if equipped.
