Front Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement (AWD)

Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution (Brake Dust Caution) .





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair) .
3. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).
4. Remove the wheel speed sensor wire harness clips (2) from the stabilizer bar bracket.




5. Remove the wheel speed sensor wire harness clip (1) from the steering knuckle.




6. Thoroughly clean the wheel speed sensor mounting area of the steering knuckle of any dirt and debris.
7. Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt (1).




8. Remove the wheel speed sensor (1) from the steering knuckle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the wheel speed sensor (1) to the steering knuckle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .





2. Install the wheel speed sensor bolt (1).

Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





3. Install the wheel speed sensor wire harness clip (1) to the steering knuckle.




4. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).
5. Install the wheel speed sensor wire harness clips (2) to the stabilizer bar bracket.
6. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair) .
