Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service Intervals) .
2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement) .




3. Disconnect the power steering cooler pipe/hose from the power steering lines.




4. Remove the power steering cooler pipe/hose to frame retaining bolt.
5. Lower the vehicle.




6. Disconnect the power steering cooler pipe/hose from the power steering cooler.
7. Remove the power steering cooler pipe/hose from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the power steering cooler pipe/hose to the vehicle.
2. Connect the power steering cooler pipe/hose to the power steering cooler.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Install the power steering cooler pipe/hose to frame retaining bolt.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (88 lb in).





4. Connect the power steering cooler pipe/hose to the power steering lines.
5. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement) .
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
8. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding (Service and Repair) .
