Vehicle Stabilizer Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Remove the left rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Disconnect the stability control module electrical connectors.
4. Release the stability control module from the module bracket locking tabs (1).




5. Lift the stability control module (1) from the bracket and remove the stability control module.




6. If necessary, remove the stability control module bracket nuts (1) and remove the bracket.



Installation Procedure


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .





1. If removed, install the stability control module bracket and the nuts (1).

Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





2. Install the stability control module (1) to the bracket.




3. Press the stability control module into the module bracket locking tabs (1).
4. Connect the stability control module electrical connectors.
5. Install the left rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Program the stability control module. Refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) .
7. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview) .
