Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Intake

Removal Procedure





1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the front compartment sight shields as necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement (Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement) .
3. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.




4. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
5. Remove the CMP sensor.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the CMP sensor.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the CMP sensor bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





3. Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the front compartment sight shields as necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement (Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement) .
