Transmission Support Replacement (Automatic AWD)

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement (With LY7 or LLT) (Service and Repair).
3. Support the transmission with a suitable jack and a block of wood.
4. Remove the transmission support to body mounting bolts.




5. Remove the transmission to support mounting bolts.
6. Remove the transmission mount from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the transmission mount to the vehicle.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

Note: The transmission mount bolts must be tightened in the proper order.

2. Tighten the right side transmission mount assembly bolt to 110 Nm (81 lb ft).
3. Tighten the left side transmission mount assembly bolt to 110 Nm (81 lb ft).
4. Install the transmission mount to body mounting bolts and tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb ft).
5. Remove the transmission support.
6. Install the exhaust system.
7. Lower the vehicle.
