Blower Motor Replacement (Left Hand Drive)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the (I/P) - right side insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side (Right Hand Drive) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators).
2. Remove the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Right Hand Drive ) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators).
3. Loosen the I/P carrier mounting bolts but do not remove, and reposition the carrier to gain clearance for blower motor removal. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Right Hand Drive ) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators).




4. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.




5. Remove the screws (1) that retain the blower motor.




6. Remove the blower motor.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the blower motor.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the blower motor screws (1) and tighten to 1.5 Nm (13 lb in).




3. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
4. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Right Hand Drive ) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators).
5. Install the I/P insulator - right side. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side (Right Hand Drive) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators).
6. Install the I/P carrier mounting bolts and tighten to 25 Nm (19 lb ft). Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Right Hand Drive ) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators).
