Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LSA) (6.2 L)

J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Service and Repair).
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair)
3. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement)




4. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at radiator usingJ 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
5. Remove the radiator outlet hose (2) from the radiator.




6. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at engine oil cooler pipe usingJ 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
7. Remove the radiator outlet hose (3) from the engine oil cooler pipe.
8. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) at engine usingJ 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
9. Remove the radiator outlet hose (3) from the engine.
10. Remove the radiator outlet hose (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the radiator outlet hose (3) to the vehicle.
2. Install the radiator outlet hose (3) to the engine.
3. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) at engine usingJ 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
4. Install the radiator outlet hose (3) to the engine oil cooler pipe.
5. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at engine oil cooler pipe usingJ 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.




6. Install the radiator outlet hose (2) to the radiator.
7. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at radiator usingJ 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
8. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement)
9. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair)
10. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Service and Repair).
