Fuel Level Sensor Replacement - Right Side

Removal Procedure

Warning:
Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning Service Precautions.


1. Remove the fuel tank pump module. Refer to Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement - Right Side Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement - Right Side.





Note:
Do not pull on the connector wires.

2. Dislodge the wires (1) from the pump support wire retention feature.





Note:
Do not touch the resistor circuit board.

3. Disengage the locking tab (1) on the fuel level sensor by pushing inward.





4. Slide the fuel level sensor (1) upward to the stationary lock (2).





5. Remove the fuel level sensor (1).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the fuel level sensor (1) and line up reservoir inverted T (2) with slot on fuel level sensor.





Note:
Do not push on the electrical terminals.

2. Slide the fuel level sensor (1) downward until the locking tab (2) locks into place.





Note:
Do not put tension on the wires at the resistor card.

3. Route the wires into the pump support wire retention feature (1), and gently pull the wire slack flush with the top of the pump (2).

4. Install the fuel tank pump module. Refer to Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement - Right Side Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement - Right Side.
