Transmission Fluid Level Inspection





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Clean any dirt from around the fill plug.

3. Remove the transmission fill plug from the transmission.





4. Check that the transmission fluid level is even with the bottom of the fill plug hole.

5. Add Dexron-III transmission fluid, if necessary.





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

6. Install the transmission fill plug to the transmission and tighten the fill plug to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).

7. Lower the vehicle.
