Fluid Change Intervals

Every 100,000 miles on 1980-87 units, under normal driving conditions the oil should be drained, the oil pan removed, the screen cleaned and fresh fluid added. For vehicles subjected to more severe use such as heavy city traffic especially in hot weather, prolonged periods of i ling or towing, this maintenance should be per- formed every 15,000 miles.

If it is driven under severe conditions such as commercial use, trailer towing, driven in heavy city traffic, mountainous areas or where outside temperature regularly reaches 90°F, fluid should be changed and screen serviced every 15,000 miles.
