1982 CORVETTE

1. Perform steps 1 thru 4 as outlined under ``Leaf Spring Replace'' 1982 Corvette procedure.
2. If equipped with a stabilizer shaft, disconnect shaft at torque arms.
3. Disconnect shock absorber at lower mounting.
4. Disconnect and lower strut rod shaft.
5. Disconnect axle drive shaft from spindle flange by removing attaching bolts. It may be necessary to force torque arm outboard providing clearance to lower axle drive shaft.
6. Disconnect brake line from caliper and from torque arm. Disconnect parking brake cable.
7. Remove torque arm forward mounting bolt and toe-in shims, Fig. 21, and pull torque arm out of frame attachment.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
