Connector Inspection

Before replacing any system components, as called for in the diagnostic procedures, proceed as follows:
1. Disconnect connector(s) associated with suspected defective component and check for improper installation, bent, broken, or dirty terminals or mating tabs and repair or replace as required.
2. Reconnect all connectors and recheck the system to ensure that the problem has been corrected. Any repairs made to wiring harness should be made with battery disconnected to prevent damaging the harness. Disconnecting battery will erase all trouble codes stored in the ECM.
