Fuel Pressure: Service Precautions

1. Handle all fuel injection related parts with care, as they may easily be damaged.

2. Use new gaskets or O-rings when installing fuel lines or injectors.

3. Lightly lubricate O-rings and flare connections with clean 30 weight engine oil.

4. Check for leaks after servicing fuel system, and correct as needed.

5. Do not operate the fuel pump without fuel. The pump is lubricated by the fuel flowing through it.

6. Do not depress the accelerator pedal on fuel injected models while trying to start the car.

7. Do not use gear lubricant or brake fluid to lubricate fuel system connections and O-rings.
