Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

CAMARO & FIREBIRD

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and discharge system refrigerant.
2. Remove accumulator.
3. Remove high blower relay terminal.
4. Remove upper evaporator case attaching screws.
5. Position wiring harness out of way and remove dipstick.
6. Disconnect liquid line at evaporator.
7. Remove upper evaporator case, then lift out evaporator core, retaining foam wedge.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
