Starting in 1984, the Cavalier wiper motor pulse module was eliminated. The pulse function electronics were moved onto a printed circuit board that is installed on the wiper motor assembly. The on-car diagnosis within the wiper motor service manual sections contain references to a separate pulse module which is incorrect. The charts that are involved are Condition No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. When performing diagnosis on a pulse wiper system, use the diagnosis provided in the Electrical Troubleshooting Manual (1984-1985) or service manual section 8A (1986-1987).
