EGR Valve: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove valve from manifold.
2. Apply constant vacuum of 9.84 inches Hg to valve port and observe diaphragm. Valve should move to 1/2 open position and hold position.
3. Apply constant vacuum of 17.75 inches Hg to valve port and observe diaphragm. Valve should open fully and hold position.
4. If valve fails to perform as outlined, valve is defective.
