Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

CAPRICE & CUTLASS SUPREME CLASSIC, PARISIENNE

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge system refrigerant.
2. Disconnect module rubber seal.
3. Remove module screen.
4. Remove right side windshield wiper assembly.
5. Remove diagnostic connection, hi-blower relay and thermostatic switch mounting.
6. Disconnect electrical connections at module top.
7. Remove module top cover.
8. Remove accumulator bracket retaining screws.
9. Disconnect refrigerant lines at accumulator, disconnect liquid line and plug open connections.
10. Remove evaporator core.
11. Reverse procedure to install, using new sealer where needed.
