Distributor Service

1. Remove distributor cap, packing and rotor.
2. Remove ignition dust cover, then the ignition coil dust cover.
3. Remove ignition coil wire retaining nuts, then disconnect wires from ignition coil terminal.
4. Remove four ignition coil retaining screws, then the ignition coil.
5. Remove module wire retaining screws and nuts, then disconnect wire from module terminal.
6. Remove module retaining screws, then the module.
7. Pry off rotor and spring using suitable tool, then remove vacuum advance retaining screws.
8. Separate advance unit link hole from breaker plate pin, then remove advance unit.
9. Remove breaker plate retaining screws and washers, then the breaker plate and pickup coil.
10. Remove governor springs, then the grease stopper at end of governor shaft.
11. Remove governor shaft end screw, then the signal rotor shaft.
12. Remove C-clip, then the governor weights.
13. Reverse procedure to assemble.
